Book Review: Where Connections Lead
Where Connections Lead by Sylvia Woodham
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The stories were placed not by theme or geography, but by feeling. Read in order, they trace a quiet transformation: curiosity opens into unease, intensity into grief, and finally into connection and release. – Editor/Author Sylvia Woodham
The topics, concepts, writing styles, and depth of stories (some are lengthy, others are quite short) are varied enough to ensure that at least a few will resonate with you, if not more. These are stories of the most messy, confused creatures that ever existed – humans. I’m a messy critter myself, so that resonated strongly with me. Some of those stories were not cheerful. But they were honest, raw, and written with a bold pen. When an author is brave enough to write without flinching at the difficult parts, I notice. I appreciate what went into writing that piece and holding it out to share it with the world.
I promise this anthology will stay with you for quite a while after you read the last page. Give it a chance.
