Creepy Walnut Faces

Welcome to my little Pop-Up Art Exhibit!  While weeding around a huge, ancient tree, I found many decomposing pieces of walnut shell. This particular tree is NOT a walnut tree. There was one in the back yard though, so apparently this tree has become a favorite retreat for squirrels to eat their walnuts in peace, while littering the ground around the trunk with the shells. The walnut tree was taken down this past winter, so the yard critter dynamic is going to change radically. I thought I better capture these images while I still could.

I call this art exhibit “Creepy Walnut Faces”. Enjoy.
