Delilah, a pizza chef, agrees to take on an emergency catering job at an extremely upscale wellness retreat. Of course, someone dies, that’s to be expected in a cozy mystery, but the fun lies in the situation. This wellness retreat is over-the-top in pretentiousness, presentation, and attitude. Delilah may be a fish out of water here, but she’s right in her element for solving a murder.
If you like foodie cozy mysteries, this one’s for you. If you like well-crafted, intelligent writing, this one’s also for you – I found the writing to be a cut above (no murder-pun intended) most cozies.
