Book Review: Bird by Bird

Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and LifeBird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life by Anne Lamott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I deliberately read Bird By Bird slowly – her ‘lessons’ are short, sometimes just a few pages long, but those pages are heavily laden with advice, anecdotes, humor, rants… so I took the time to think about each lesson before moving on. I settled into a routine of reading one per night, as I was winding down from the day.

I highly recommend that all writers or those who wish to understand writers read this book. Slowly. Bite by bite. Bird by bird.
