Book Review: The Engineer’s Nemesis

The Engineer's Nemesis: A cozy fantasy historical mystery (Lady Georgia Brunel Mysteries Book 3)The Engineer’s Nemesis: A cozy fantasy historical mystery by Shelley Adina
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Author Shelley Adina clearly loves her work. Her stories are clever, ultra-cozy, and always have a great little game called “Spot the Chickens”. Well, at least I call it that! The Engineer’s Nemesis follows the classic style of the best “we’re all in a big mansion and someone killed someone, who done it?” mysteries.

This outing felt like sinking into a big cozy couch. I settled in with the story and enjoyed every page. For an added bonus, since I’m a forager and novice herbologist, the wonders of nature backfire splendidly and provide a startling murder weapon.

You should be reading all of the author’s cozy mysteries, but starting with this one will no doubt whet your appetite to search out the rest of them. Enjoy!

Lori Alden Holuta lives between the cornfields of Mid-Michigan, where she grows vegetables and herbs when she’s not writing, editing, or playing games with a cat named Chives.
